Empowering Tides Counseling

If you are searching for guidance and stability, going through a rough patch in life or struggling with life transitions, there is help. Joy and balance are achievable. Ebbs and flows of life are inevitable, but how we perceive and respond to them are not. The more we learn about ourselves and how to build on the strengths we already possess, the better we can deal with life's curve balls. Learning new thought processes and building on those strengths will begin to put us on the path to growth.
My approach leans on Mindfulness, Mind-Body medicine techniques as well as CBT to approach change with positivity, energy and peace. It is a goal of mine to create a space where you will feel heard and supported. Everyone's experiences and situations are different, therefore treatment is approached in an individual way.
I have come to realize that you don't have to go on this journey alone. Guidance and a listening ear can spark real change. I believe it is my job to help you find your unique path. I am here to listen, to guide, to empower, to fill your cup, and to create balance.
Born and raised in Greenville, SC, I love being able to help others in my hometown. After attending Presbyterian College and receiving a BS in Elementary Education and Religion minor, I went on to Clemson University to receive a Masters in Counseling. My favorite pastime is being with my husband, twin boys, and active birddog, Goose. I love to watch a good football game or tennis match. I find joy and replenish my energy with a good book, cup of coffee and spending time outdoors.

Kevin Cook, DC

Spiritus Chiropractic

Dr. Kevin Cook is a graduate of Sherman College of Chiropractic. While there he studied
multiple techniques including Thompson, Network Spinal, Diversified, Gonstead, Activator
Methods, and Torque Release Technique. Sherman taught him how the body subluxates in
response to overwhelming thoughts, traumas, and toxins. The most significant influence on Dr.
Cook's understanding of chiropractic came from additional seminars in Bio-Geometric
Integration (BGI). Through BGI, Dr. Cook learned how to address the body as a whole and not
just a series of spinal misalignments and fixations. Dr. Cook now sees the adjustment as an
artful conversation through connection and force input. Although he is well versed in
addressing patterns that are a result of physical traumas, Dr. Cook is passionate about working
with patterns related to thoughts and non-physical trauma. It is fascinating how the body
stores experiences not only in the brain, but in the entirety of the body. Dr. Cook has seen first
hand how powerful chiropractic can be for both physical and mental/emotional health, not only
in his own life but in the lives of many patients. In his free time, Dr. Cook enjoys riding his
motorcycle, expanding his knowledge in chiropractic care through continuing education, or
spending time with the cat he has been "fostering" since chiropractic school.
